    Hi all,

Just got a new Nikon D3200 as my first DSLR. Love it so far although still learning how to use it properly. The only problem I have is when trying to review photos in playback mode the camera freezes and wont turn off or change back to photo mode. Green light flashes, eventually it comes up with message 'cannot display file'. If I turn it off and on again its ok. Also often get yellow egg timer icon when press playback button. I am using a sandisk extreme 32gb 45mb/s cat 10 sd card, which was recommended by lots of sites.
Is mh problem the card or camera, and is there anything I can do to fix it.
    Any advice appreciated.

I think it is your SD card. Have you a friend who could loan you a card to try. It is the easiest thing to try first. Please post your findings here if you solve it. It will help others.

Thanks. I'm sure I have a panasonic sd card in old camera. I'll root it out and try it. Do you think it is ok to use in new camera.?

Tried it out and so far so good. Its only basic one and v disappointed that the other one didnt work. Lost some great photos when I checked it out. Anything I can do to resolve this.
    Thanks for advice

Your photos may still be on that card, use a free program to recover them called "RECUVA" here ..
    http://www.piriform.com/recuva
Just make sure you only download the program, unclick any other stuff it offers you.

When and if you recover any of your photos/videos then format the card in your camera and try it again. It might be ok.
    Cheers

I've not dealt with Sandisks warranty system but I do know the extreme and ultra products all come with some pretty substantial cover, I think it's a 10 or 30 year coverage, It might be worth looking into that.

I emailed Amazon and they got back to me very quickly. No problem with refund or exchange so going to get a new but different type.
    Thanks.
