How do you measure crank length?

I have a large Canyon AL 6.0 with a 105 group set. I want to determine the current crank length but there doesn't appear to be any markings on the crank arms.

Other than measuring is there any way to determine the length?

172.5 according to the geometry chart on canyon website

The markings should be on the inside of the crank around the outside of the pedal axle on shimano cranks, or stamped into the inside of the non drive side crank.

Otherwise just get a ruler or some tape and measure between the centre of the crank preload screw and the centre of the pedal axle. It's not hard to do and its hard to get confused between 165, 170, 172.5 and 175mm.

Are you really trying to ask us how to measure something without measuring it? If so, then I recommend your local tarot card reader.

The crank length is usually stamped on the inside of the crank arms.
If you have to measure, the length is measured from the centre of the crank axle
To the centre of the pedal axle.

I didn't realise, my typing was THAT slow.

I know how to measure but I dont have the bike with me to measure. Also wanted to know from what point to what point to measure. I'll leave the tarot cards for the lotto numbers

Its the length from centre of BB to the centre of the pedal axle.
