someone else using my upc?

    I moved out of a apartment over a month ago, i moved into a new place which has upc, i brought my upc box etc from old place as it was in my name, i ring upc to cancel my package to discover a housemate in old apartment has there name added onto account? which i never knew about or agreed to? does this mean they rang up pretending to be me? could they be using my internet even tho i dont live there etc?
