i am looking to develop a website for a community based photo competition. The competition will involve people taking photos of their town and uploading them to a website. The photos can be seen by everybody during this time.

I could use facebook, but I want to be able to have complete control over the photos and comments that are passed on the website. Is there any app on a phone or website I could use to achieve my objectives??

Have a look at this site:

    http://www.picturk.com/

It's an Irish company. Not sure how much it costs as they don't seem to make that information easy to find on the site but it might be worth making an enquiry.

If you want complete control over the uploads, try Blogger and its mail2post option.

Won't be as pretty as some options. But is free, very easy to use, and doesn't require you to have any software versions etc.

If you need to know who submitted each photo, use a forwarding address, as described here: http://blogger-hints-and-tips.blogsp...l-posting.html
