Mondeo rear trailing arm bushes

I bought a '09 Mondeo from a SIMI dealer last November. The car was serviced by a Ford dealer last October before the previous owner traded it in to the dealer that I bought it from.
Last week I met the previous owner by chance. He told me that the Ford mechanic advised him the rear trailing arm bushes were almost gone.An expensive job apparently.
I'm wondering if the dealer I bought it from should replace these for me or will I have to bear the cost myself.I was given a 6 month engine and gearbox warranty

Can't see the dealer even entertaining you to be honest but on the positive side there not that huge a job. Get a good independent to do it and it'll cost half what Ford will charge.

Is there anything other than a chance meeting with the previous owner that indicates the bushes are still worn?
Were you experiencing any symptoms beforehand?

I can't see an engine and gearbox warranty covering suspension bushes. Are you getting any symptoms, knocking, tyre wear etc.

Bushes are consumables so I doubt dealer will pay for it.

Sometimes I think I can hear a knock from the right rear.I maybe just paranoid now.I might bring it to a mechanic I know for a quick inspection.

Get it looked at before jumping to conclusions. For all you know the garage you bought the car from may have replaced the bushes before you bought it.
