Have been told my son 3 and half needs glasses as his test showed 0.4 in left eye and 0.5 in right eye. Been put on public waiting list but been told it's 2 year waiting list!!!!
Would prefer to get him seen sooner as 2 years with bad eyes is ridiculous.
Can anyone recommend or even point me in right direction when it comes to a private ophthalmologist in Cork and the average price so I can get the ball rolling.
Also can anyone guide me as to what happens with an ophthalmologist??? Is it eye test with dr then go to optician for glasses?

That would be extremely minor and I can not imagine that would be corrrect.. + or - ?
We went to one the The Charlemont clinic with the eldest it cost about 150 euro and the wait was a few weeks as opposed to the 18 months we were facing on the public list.
The opthamologist tests their eyes and writes a prescription which you bring to the optician to get fulfilled.
