    Not at all.

Send an email and ask when their next event is on http://www.trinitysocieties.ie/

Do you mean at this point (i.e. February) during 2nd Year or during Freshers Week at the start of 2nd Year?

Because either way it's not too late.

It's never too late! I didn't join anything until third year because I had to work so many hours in first and second year that all my spare time was spent studying. To make matters worse, when I wanted to join loads of stuff at the beginning of third year I got glandular fever! Joined a pile of stuff after Christmas though and it went brilliantly! Made a ton of friends, got really involved and found that loads of other people had just joined too! You won't regret it =)

I was at the rifle club a while back and a couple of the officials there said they hadn't joined it until after first year was over.
