G585 Screen Replacement Issue

Right odd one this - I'm after replacing the screen on my G585. I took out the old one & plugged the new one in, I mounted in the frame & it was working so I powered off the laptop and replaced the bezel. When I turned it on after replacing the bezel I get no picture anymore. Ive tried putting the old screen back in but…

Iv resorted to using an external monitor so at least I know I SHOULD be getting an image on my laptop screen.

The old screen was a LG LP156WH4 (TL)(N1) - I swapped it for a LP156WH4 (TL)(N2). Would that make any difference? As I said it was working until I reattached the bezel???
