    Hi,

Does anyone have experience of UPC broadband in Clontarf, Dublin. I currently use Smart Telecom/Digiweb and find it ok. I get about 16mb/s. Eircom eFibre is not available. I am mainly interested in latency for gaming rather than download speeds. Reliability is also important.

    thanks,

    MBD

Never had any issues with it for gaming. Total throughput can be a bit low, but that's still about 70 megs a second, and way beyond ADSL.

The kids play a fair bit of Minecraft, and I play the odd Call of Duty deathmatch and I've never noticed any issues, I'm on the 200Mb (but I never get that speed, more like 130Mb) package.

    Thanks for that.

Can people in Clontarf or surrounds on UPC ping 185.16.85.200 and 85.114.155.46 and post the results. These are Battlefield 4 servers in UK and Germany.

It is better to do it at peak time, 7pm to 10pm to get the most reliable result.

36 is good for the second since it is in Germany. Was there much variation in the min, max, average? Thanks again for your help.
