Hi guys, have a HP Photosmart B110a All in one which works with Linux Mint and all, but the printing is crap, you don't use it for a few weeks and it doesn't print properly, and my mam is driving me up the wall every time she has to print something!

    Things I'm most interested in:
-Ink will work after a month of not using!
    -Works with Ubuntu/ Mint
-Wireless (preferably the ability to give it a static IP, some sort of interface I can log into, the HP had this)
    - Not too pricey

I know Brother and HP work well with Linux
    Thanks in advance!

    Danger Will Robinson!

Unfortunately, blanket statements like "Brand-X works well with Linux", are not always accurate. They may offer good support, but in my experience, it is only a matter of time before they go for a cheaper, less well known chipset when problems start to occur. Have a look at the Linux COmpatibility list, and there are very few if any brands which are 100% compatible, and sometimes they flat won't work. Its better than it was admittedly, but there is still the odd turkey.

Haha, ok maybe "supplies some sort of driver" would be more accurate :)

I use HP Deskjet 3050 All in One J610 very intermittently without problems.

I tend to expect the print heads to dry out over time, depending on the storage environment ..... cleaning the heads before printing should overcome that.

Of course what a 'good' printer might be is a very personal decision ...... I bought the cheapest wireless one I could find at the time :D
