Hello, I hope someone maybe able to answer my question, or point me in the right direction. My son has been quite ill for a while, but is hopefully on his way to getting better, he wants to come over here to live with me. He is on sick/pay incapacity benefit, and will be for a long time. Will he be able to claim his UK…

Hello, I hope someone maybe able to answer my question, or point me in the right direction.

My son has been quite ill for a while, but is hopefully on his way to getting better, he wants to come over here to live with me.

He is on sick/pay incapacity benefit, and will be for a long time.

Will he be able to claim his UK sick pay, through the Social Welfare here ?

He has never lived or worked in Ireland before except for holidays.

Any help gratfully recieved.

He will have to ask the dept in the UK if his payment can be transferred to here.Other that that he would have to apply for disability allowance.
