Cross-Curricular Literacy in Irish First Level Education

I'm currently doing a PGCE course in Primary Education in Wales. Here there is a big push on cross-curricular literacy because of bad PISA results. I'm aware that Ireland had problems with PISA a few years ago, but has implemented a series of initiatives that has seen standards in literacy skyrocket.

I'm aware that the PISA tests are for second level learners but the Literacy and Numeracy Framework has been established for Foundation Phase, Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3.

We have to write an assignment on cross-curricular literacy and during my research I have been looking at Ireland. I've found a few useful documents but I was wondering if anyone can refer me to any other useful sources of information.

I've looked at the following documents already:
National Strategy to Improve Literacy and Numeracy
Teacher Education and Ireland’s National Strategy to Improve Literacy and Numeracy

I'll be grateful for any advice.
