The London one or the NI one?

Is there much difference in content/channels?

AFAIK if you use the NI code you get UTV HD but it doesn't have a +1. You also get the local BBCs which tend to reschedule sports etc to favour local stuff.
Using London you get the stupid red screen during BBC one local news. My preference is to use Granada (Manchester postcode M60 9EA )

It defines your region of ITV 1 and BBC1/2 although, on the Humax at least, you can still set the BBC region of your choice at 101/102 regardless of the postcode inputted.

It used to be said that the the Granada region (Manchester postcode) had the best quality ITV HD but I'm not sure if that still applies.

London, no brainer, unless you're a fan of NI politics or you want Final Score on a Saturday afternoon to be rudely interrupted by Glenavon v Portadown etc etc.

Used to use Northern Ireland one - BT1 3FF (Ikea :) ), but changed to London and never went back - SW1 1AA (Buckingham Palace :D ).

I use W1A 1AA for obvious reasons! :D (the whole point of Freesat is that you are freed from Norn Iron variation)

That's the one I use. Then again, I was born and brought up in Manchester, so I enjoy the Local news bulletins on there. I'd never consider the NI variant; as has been said on here, too much rescheduling of network programming in favour of local programmes.

L4 0TH. Any Wednesday night scheduled MOTD's tend to be an hour earlier on the BBC1 English regions than BBC1 NI because of the 'Nolan Show' after the news.

    I use Lord's Cricket Ground: NW8 8QN :P

NI Postcode - UTV HD but no UTV+1
England Postcode - ITV HD and ITV+1

I'm not sure if the whole Granada region having the highest quality ITV HD is true any more and it is the same as London and even UTV now. In fact, the only real benefit to having an English postcode over an NI one is a +1 service for ITV that's easily viewable/recordable. If you can live without that, go for NI, and if you don't want to hear Belfast accents and crap about flags, change your BBC ONE region to any English one and keep BBC TWO NI if you like.
