I going to look at buying one of the above (tm m1911a1 co2) it comes with a leaky mag. Are they easy fixed.? Or where can you buy new mags. Also do other mag brands work in a tm, this is my first pistol and tm

Also how can you tell its a real tm and not a clone

Ammmm someone please correct me if am wrong but I don't think TM do CO2 magazines??, Plastic and high pressure gas don't work well together...

Tokyo marui pistols are all plastic not metal, unless an aftermarket steel frame and slide has been fitted. That is the easiest to determine a clone or not....the box helps also

Well TM don't have a co2 variant.
TM 1911's, with no aftermarket parts, have a plastic slide and frame and on the right side of the frame you will see tokyo marui japan asgk above and to the right of the grip.

KJW Green gas mags work,
ARMY armaments green gas mags work,
Bell/Tercel mags work,
KJW CO2, KWC co2 and WE green gas/co2 do not work. The dimensions on these mags, from how they engage the mag catch, feed lips etc do not.

Using a KJW slide and frame however, one could fit all the internals into the KJW slide and part of the frame internals to run co2 but the TM BBH components would inevitably break. There also may be some tolerance issues with regard to part swapping, on my army and kjw models I previously owned, externals parts were a b***h to fit. Internals, for the 1911a1 models however, are all cross compatible between KJW, TM, 1911's MEU, Night/desert/strike warrior and detonics models.

Op there is no TM 1911A1 in co2 there are clones of the tm mainly kjw 1911s that take Co2 mags but there not Tokyo mauri ,
Be careful of the Tercel 1911 which is a full metal direct copy right down to Tokyo mauri made in Japan markings,

If your unsure ask for the original box and paperwork to prove its a mauri not something else somebody is pawning off as a mauri

Those are all types that are worth money, as you can see most TM stuff is out of stock.

As for leaks, Blue silicon gasket stuff is a perma fix but costs a few yoyos. Cheaper fix is to soak o rings from the mag in break fluid overnight and reassemble

Sound for all the info lads. Like I said I know little about pistols and didnt know tm dont do co2. Ill still get the 1911 4 40e itl do 4 a starter pistol
