How much to go to university?

Just wondering on the average price, I know that there will always be some deviation but just name a number.

I heard about how the government will pay most of it for your first choice, unless you change your mind to a different course. Anyone know if this still applies for foreign students coming over?
    Thanks for your time

I thought foreign students paid more. Significantly more.

Non-EU students do anyway, as far as I know.

Any idea how I would go about finding out how much it would be?

The universities usually have a list of fees somewhere online. Beyond that though, I don't know.

By way of example, here are UCD's EU and non-EU fees for undergraduate degrees for 2013/14. You should be able to find similar on the fees page of the institution you are interested in.
