Hey all. Just moved to a new house witha firebird 120/150k
Cant figure out how to bleed it.
According to some places online it says to loosen with an alan key on the gold bar on left hand side to release air. Done it for one hour with no luck.
    Got some pics of it.
    Any help is greatly appreciated

Firstly are you sure you have oil? If so when was the boiler last serviced,is the valve on the tank open ? the fire valve may have shut down, the filters may be sludged up the oil line may be kinked or blocked is the tank positioned higher or lower than the burner?

My firebird has a riello burner attached. Always struggle every year to get it bled.

Read many threads and got much advice but never really helped me.

Often spent an hour solid trying in vein to fire burner.
Could disconnect fuel feed pipe to burner and still see no fuel.
Would open bleed screw just when pump would kick in to have the pump displace air at correct time but rarely worked.

Then one day I had a brain wave and got a vacuum engine oil extractor I had in my shed, connected it to pump oil feed line with just some insulating tape and sucked the fuel out. Within a few seconds I had full fuel flow again.

Connected pipe back up to pump, cleaned away spilt fuel and wallah. Burner working again.

Some of these suckers regardless of fuel in the tank are just a b.@#ard to bleed.

    Good luck
