just be careful. Prices would want to be allot higher to make it worth your while especially if you have to travel a distance. Someone on here mentioned 40c of a difference in price is needed. I knew the premium would have to be high but didnt think that high. I taught the northern factories were ice cold for the last month?

distance would make a big difference on price needed, your location maybe favorable. I was told a couple of weeks ago that the regular who go north werent going, might have being BS so dont take my word for it. a few minutes on the phone wont cost the earth

Close to the border all cattle are killed in the north useful to have a contact and yes haulage to and from the export centres adds to cost and you run the chance stock are held overnight in lairage adds to wastage

You are also running exchange rate risk too.

& 4 to 6 working weeks for a sterling cheque to clear into your account.

    Do factories do credit transfers?

You wouldn't want to be stuck for the money.

But the FX rate is great if you are in south and receiving STG lads. It's 1.21 today and bank probably discount to give 1.23 and they reckon the rates won't shift for next 6 months.

I was in a factory on wednesday night (Tyrone) and they were waiting on a load coming up from the south, although that was on the hook

Heard on the vine they ( Tyrone ) are interested in bull's, usually don't kill until evening, they are last on line before they wash up.
