okay im renting a house and our oil went in december , after xmas i returned to the house after staying with family and it was gone again so we put in 188 euro . well thats what was on the bill . on monday when i went to turn it on it was gone again .
now for the details we turned it on for 3 hours a day 7-8 am and 8-10 . i dont no much about this type of system but surely that wouldnt waste that much oil like it was only on for 3 weeks . Also looking into the tank its about 2 inchs above the pipe that feed to the burner i think that should at least start it . were thinking either its being stolen or theres a leek :/ any ideas guys ?

Under not too unrealistic circumstances, that is not too much to burn.
21 days at 3 hours per day = 63 hours if burner is running all the time which it might nearly do with that regime. If burner had .75 nozzle then it would burn about 180 litres in that time. That is as close to damn it to your usage.

How many litres did you get for E188? When was the boiler last serviced? What make of boiler do you have? assuming your boiler has not been serviced in some time and your jet nozzle is .65G per hour which is 2.25 ltrs per hour so say 3ltrs for worn out nozzle boiler operating at 70% of time its opeating so say burning 8 ltrs a day at 7 days a week is 56 ltrs a week over 3 weeks is 168 ltrs
