The selected ambassadors will trial one of the following electric vehicles - the Nissan Euro LEAF, Renault Zoe, Renault Twizy, Renault Kangoo Z.E. commercial van, Mitsubishi iMiEV , Mitsubishi Outlander Plug-in Hybrid SUV, Citroen C Zero or the BMWi3.

Twenty-four people in total will participate in the year long-trial and each ambassador will trial an ecar for a period of four months.

Where's the bargain?

Driving a nice car for free (excluding cheap charge of its battery) for 4 months and they will also pay you for the tax? Is that not enough for you ?

Would be interesting to see exactly how much a full charge would cost the home owner on standard rate tarrif.

Petrol would be very, very cheap if there weren't any taxes on it. Cheap / free electricity is an illusion. A temporary one

I was one of those chosen last year, and I got the Mitsubishi for 3 months, I do miss it now, it was great for driving in and out of college, but it didn't look too hot!

I would have loved that BMW!!

Yeah, but there is tax on it.

A Porsche Carrera 4s would be very very cheap if there wasn't any tax on it.

Its a competition not a bargain. Only 24 places for several thousand applicants.

Why not put the lotto does as a bargain?
