If he told me today was Tuesday I wouldn't believe him. Property was a terrible investment according to the same man until he got involved with a property company, then it was great.

A leave poor Eddie alone, he is doing his best to re-invented himself again. Its surprising he has being a failure so many times in his life, his turn of the fortune wheel must be due soon. He should be well tanked:D for the below cost selling of alcohol which IMV has done allot more social damage than an over priced (over cost of production really) carrot or litter of milk

poor ned has had some clangers in the past but remember 'rip off republic'....it hasn't gone away you know.

but the attitude of many posters demonstrates nothing has been learnt.

begrudging farming 1.2 billion sfp (not profit) from europe while 7.6 billion is sucked out of the economy in intrest for the bank bailout!!...the difference is farmers deliver (and pay thier bills)

From a idiological point I can see eddies point but the failure to balance his argument with realisation that retailers ARE abusing their power.

Western Society as we know it is going to change radically in the next 50 years (a very short time)and the economic norms that are accepted today are going to alter enormously.the lessons from the global banking crissis have NOT been learnt.when it breaks again will the proles accept the lies and excuses again.

just before the crash Mandleson as EU negotiater to the WTO was poised to sacrifice european agriculture support for greater access of European Financial institutions to BRIC nations......The neo liberal economists would still do this in a heartbeat.....

    how many F's in enough?

Through his property company Eddie was promoting a chain of islands off the coast of Africa, as the ideal investment opportunity. Cannot recall the name right now, but remember Googleing then at the time. They were only about twenty foot above sea level. Hardly a wire move in a time of rising sea levels! I don't hear much mention of then lately ;)

That's them, no natural water supply on the islands was another "feature". If ever that mountainside slides off the canary islands the Tsunami will wipe them out.
