Part Time Dole with a Paid Monthly Job

Hi everyone.

New to this and just have a quick question to ask.
I am currently on the dole but I may have a job lined up in my field of work. Only problem is it's 1 days work a week for 3 hours.

I was wondering how to go about claiming part time dole. The job isn't confirmed yet but I've looked into it and they will pay monthly.

How does this affect supplementing the rest of my income on the dole?

Has anyone had any experience with this before?

If it's one day a week and I'm paid monthly do I have to skip a weeks dole? Is that how it works?

There will be forms for your part time employer to fill in.Once these are returned to the dept you will be means tested on the new information supplied,your JSA payment will be adjusted accordingly.
As you are on a means tested payment you can get as many part time jobs as you can,all moneys earned will be means tested.
