    hi, quick question does anybody know of, or even heard tell of a case 2290 breaking for parts in ireland
    friend is trying to repair one and new parts are crazy expensive

    I doubt you'll find anything scrapped in this country. I have a 4690 and have got a few bits in from the states for it. What are you looking for?

    He was lookin for the houseing for the pto clutch pack
    Atkins in cork wanted 1700 for it :o
    He got a local fab company made it up for him

    Robert Fernley in the UK brings in container loads of stuff from the States and Canada, from breakers, and complete tractors. would take time but he is not hard paid. Look at ads in the back of Classic Tractor magazine.

    Or you could try having a chat with the fellow who builds "Porter" trailers, up in Derry. very knowledgeable about Case and DB tractors, and has some big Artic-Steer American models in his collection.

    on second thoughts, it could be the rigid frame four wheel steer model he has.

    Check out David Brown Ireland website, That Porter man is usually on it. Plenty of helpful people on it.

    Tractor belongs to a friend from collage he has it up as part of a project no pics sorry
