apologies if this is already up
got an an email today from the range with the proposals for new firearm legislation from the gardai basically the gist is
ban all handguns (.22 included) with only a few specific models left
ban on semi auto and pumpaction shotguns with a capacity over 3 cartridges
ban on semi auto centre fire rifles
and the kicker is their is to be no compensation for people who already have these types of firearms let alone money spent on upgraded security
as i said if this is already up apologies i couldnt find it in a search

Not sure what to think, what are the chances of this succeeding not sure what the government stance is on firearms really
but i think we should take a leaf out of the antis playbook and at least start contacting TDs and reminding them we vote

I know in the uk , they have to have the magazine tube crimped, and be examined by the proof house to be licenced as a normal shotgun.

This is already up here, and unless you got something totally new you didn't see the proposals, just what the NARGC said they thought they would mean.
