Famously the only car slower than a 1.4 Octy. Avoid IMO

It's going to be slow. Like, 0-60 measured on a calendar slow. If you're set on an Octavia, why get an SDI when a TDI is the same price?

Personally I'd rather get a lower mileage Focus or 406 in the cheap diesel market. Both very strong diesel engines, in a fairly reliable car.

Just get a tdi octavia as said they are a lot quicker will do the same or even better economy and shouldn't be much more to buy. My family aunties and uncles etc have had/ have a lot of them older model octavia in 1.9tdi and they are normally very reliable.

Over 200k on any car is a big ask
You could do much better if you looked around.

It could be fine. No turbo to go wrong. But it could be awful, not many pics in the ad isn't a good sign.

The sdi is slow but you know that when buying it but it is also economical too if you don't try to push it hard.

You would need it cheap but at a grand it would worth a chance so long it checks out.
