Problem with laptop's headphone jack

    Hi there,

For the last while I've had trouble with my relatively new (bought in August) laptop's headphone jack. Basically when i plugged in my headphones I'd have to wiggle it around to prevent the sound from only coming from on headphone/not hearing anything at all.

It's not the headphones as I've tried new ones with it. Recently no sound comes from my headphones at all and just comes out of the speaker.

What are my options? Is it send it back for repair which would probably take a few weeks, buy wireless headphones to connect to laptop or buy an external usb soundcard to plug headphones in to? Guessing the last option would probably be the cheapest/most convenient? Any advice appreciated!
