Things to do in Kilkenny during the day

Hi Guys, Im wondering if there are any classes/club meetings etc taking place in Kilkenny during the day, Monday to Friday. I'm unemployed and looking to meet new people as all my friends have left for Oz over the last few months. Would very particularly interested in Book Clubs, or Writing Groups! Thanks! :)
