Custom delay time

What is a typical length of time for customs to hold on to a package. I am waiting for some items from the US. According to the tracking no it came in the country on January 27th but hasn't gone anywhere since.
Also is there any way of contacting them to find out what the story is. I've looked for contact no's but had no luck.

About a week is typical. Never had to contact them but query everything they do - they are not infallible. Expect your packet to be opened and not resealed. You will have more luck asking the shipping company.

I can't even see any way of contacting them directly. I tried a couple of numbers earlier but got nowhere with them.
