Eircom eFibre and Windows Store problem

    Hi,
    Hope someone can advise. I cant connect a desktop running Windows 8 to the Windows Store.
    I also came across an article on a Microsoft site about the issue being related to some ports being blocked by the router and suggested that port forwarding, while not advised, may resolve the issue.

    Anyone else having trouble connecting to the Microsoft Store through eFibre?

    I am reluctant to go down the port forwarding route but I suspect it may be the issue.

    Upnp should allow it through no problem, I'd wager its a software issue and nothing to do with your modem.

    Think you might be right Ed. Just realised the Phone itself can get on through the wireless connection so probably software related.

    Are you getting any error messages ?
    I remember having Store access issues because Windows 8 firewall was disabled ...
