Best Place for Buying Second Hand Ladies Bike

    Hi, I am looking for second hand racing bike for my wife, what site would you recommend using the Dealer, Buy and Sell or Done Deal what site would you recommend that I use??as don't have time to get out to bikes shops need to buy online but want to get something second hand , good condition and genuine for her.
    Appreciate feedback on where to start!

    Adverts.ie, the classifieds section on this forum, Done deal etc are all decent for second hand bikes. The one thing to remember is that there's not really such a thing as a woman's road bike these days, they're unisex. A few brands do 'women's' models but it's really more of a marketing thing. Size is the important thing. As long as the bike fits and she is comfortable on it, it will do the job.

    Women specific bikes generally have "girly" paint and graphic schemes but other than that they're just smaller framed bikes.

    There are other differences including short reach handlebars/saddle etc. You may have to weigh up those things if you are replacing from a mans bike.
