Changing policies and waiting periods

I have been with VHI since 2010 but as the price of my policy has risen considerably in that time, I have been considering changing. I saw a policy with Aviva which has similar benefits but at a price of about €300 cheaper so I am considering moving when my VHI renewal comes up in March.

Am I right in saying that I will not have to wait another waiting period as it is not my first policy? Do I have to provide proof to Aviva of this?

    Thanks!

If you have had continuous cover, there is no waiting period unless you are taking additional covers to the ones you already have
