    Hi there,

Just trying to figure out what good service is for a subpoena-does it have to be personal service-can it be left with a family member?

the RSC are very unclear as the the exact method of service-really need to get it right-any assistance would be great!

The subpoena is an order of the court directed at a person, usually referenced as the respondent. Proper service is by personal service on the respondent.

People like evading service, can be away, have no post box, are paranoid, mystic self taught law gurus, freeman, residents of Ballyphehane, etc.

An order for substituted service can be granted by a court where efforts to trace the respondent are presented to the court on oath. Then a number of orders might be made about the mode/method of service which may be later deemed to be good and effective service.

I wonder if an extra-territorial trial is really acceptable, as the community centre is in Killeenreendowney, not Ballyphehane. :pac:
