    In my case I think the dealer was sitting on it. As mentioned by others, it takes about 2 weeks normally.

    collected car on the 24 th jan had logbook on the 30 jan purchased from a dealer

    Posted log book on Friday 3rd Jan, got it back the 10th. Surprised as it was just after the holidays.

    Bought a car privately Thursday 2 weeks ago. Log book was posted the next day, I received it in the post the following Friday. 5 working days.
