My 60GB drive just isn't cutting it anymore and I need to increase space.

What is the most reliable 128GB out there? It will be my OS drive so I want it to be solid.

Edit: This is for a desktop, so laptop specific sizes/brackets etc are not needed.

I can't comment on it's performance over others in the same price range but I have a Samsung 840 Pro and it's fantastic, couldn't be happier with it.

Yep I think I'll go with the Samsung and even upgrade to 250GB.

Elara have them for €188, amazon have them for €145 plus del.

Just bear in mind, the bigger drives tend to be a bit slower, so maybe a 128GB system drive and a platter drive for data. I've an crucial M4 for three years and its been flawless.

the 250G is faster then the 128 (both Samsung evo's & pro's), but think it starts to decline from there alright

I went from 60gb to 120gb and now I wish I splashed out on the 250 instead of 120.
    Samsung gets my vote too.

Same here. I've used 830s, 840, and 840 Evos. They're all great. Don't be worrying about performance, just get the biggest capacity you can. On paper they might seem to perform differently, but you won't notice it at all.

Some people extend that last bit out to other brands, but aside from Crucial, I'm not confident of recommending any.

Kingston and ADATA I've heard good things about as well. But yeah, I meant only Samsung with what I originally said.
