Checking Visa Grant Number

Hi, I need to check my Visa grant number for work but I don't have the original e-mail that they sent me. I've tried ringing the number for general enquiries on the website but there's never an answer no matter how long I stay on hold. I can't find an e-mail address and tried to register for an immiAccount but it says I need an ABN. I'm out of ideas now as to how I'll get it.

    Can anyone help? Thanks.

When I needed my visa grant number it wasn't on any of the emails they send you. Employers can check your visa status themselves using the EVO (I think thats what its called?)

I'm afraid the only way it to stay on hold and ring early, like the minute they are meant to be open. Sometimes its a 40+ minute wait to speak to somebody. If you can't hold, drop them an email requesting the visa grant number.

Once you get the number, email it to yourself so you'll never have to go through them to get it again.

    Try this

    https://online.immi.gov.au/evo/firstParty?actionType=query

    explained here

    http://australia.gov.au/service/visa-entitlement-verification-online-vevo-for-visa-holders

It is a VEVO check for Visa holders.

There is a VEVO check for Employers/Organisations to check Visa holders status which i suspect you tried to use.

I can't use that first link as I don't have any of the items you need to sign in.

Where could I get a visa evidence number or a trn?

Looks like a visit to Department of Immigration. Not sure of any workaround without a TRN. Not sure if they'd give you that info over the phone.

Your TRN should be in your initial emails from IMMI when applying.

Well he did say he doesn't have the email sent by immigration but maybe it's just the grant notification email he doesn't have.

That's what I was getting at. There's 2 or 3 emails he can sue to get the number. Failing that its a phonecall to IMMI and passport number at the ready.
