Ok I know I recently posted about divers watches but after seeing my friends tag heuer monaco I need my own one.
Think they are just amazing watches .
Love the feel and the look.
Question is where would I pick up a real second hand one for under 1000 euro
    Any ideas ??

Under €1000, very unlikely to find a chronograph (even badly cared for) at that price.

You may find the Monaco Automatic for that price second hand - it is a smaller watch with less complications.

Under a Grand, I would say impossible, maybe 1500 / 1600 but more like 2K
    (unless you try the bay)

If anything they tend to be pricier on the bay.

You might have a better chance of picking up a Monza for under 1000. That'll still be at the cheaper end though.

There a jewellers on Dawson St. that have a second hand Monaco for €4,500...

New prices are also rocketing... over €5.5k... Lucky I got mine when I did.

Just be aware that that is an automatic & not a chronograph - it is a different watch.

    Always check the authenticity...

you should keep an eye on adverts.ie. Monacos come up from time to time but you'd be doing well to get one under a grand. I was lucky enough to get a 'steve mcqueen' one before christmas on adverts for a very reasonable price

yeah i had one up on adverts for a while, the model WW2110 - got fed up getting low ball offers by PM so withdrew it. I had it priced ambitiously but wouldn't have gone below €1,000 have to say

there's a monaco for sale on adverts at the moment but it's abit over the 1k mark

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,263 ✭✭✭✭Eoin

Yeah, going for 1.7K I think. An offer of 1k was (rightly IMO) turned down already.
