So I'm planning on travelling to Spain this summer, specifically Malaga. I plan on going from the 8th of July to the 18th. Would anyone be able to tell me the best time for me to book would be?

Also I've been told Ryanair is generally cheapest, anyone confirm this?

you can get lucky with prices of flights approx. 8 weeks before travel with ryanair...trick is to check as often as you can...

yes, generally ryanair are the cheapest, however it may work out that you travel one way with aerlingus and the other with ryanair (which is what i do on a regular basis)

I think I'll look into the one way flights between the two.

I've checked prices a couple of times and it tended to fluctuate between 250-270 euro return including bags and all that, would you expect it to change much more?

And would you have any idea as to whether the flight may be booked out by then? Does that happen often?

the busiest weekend in my opinion is 28th june time....the price rockets...presume that's everyone moving over to spain/portugal to their apartments and villas for the summer

from my knowledge, the price tends to be the cheapest when flights are first released, then there is a chance that they are a little cheaper early january (with aerlingus) and then the keep going up up up in price

i wouldn't expect the price to be any more than 300euros to spain....but if you can hang on and not book until 12 weeks before travel, you might get lucky. i paid 150euros return and now the price is 202 (no luggage now). when the flights were first released they were 180

just keep checking as much as you can, would definitely book at least 6 weeks in advance, like you say the flight might be so full that they won't reduce the price

    I would buy them now

go to aerlingus site then ryanair

don't forget all the extra hidden fees

Ryanair are moving away from this model now so make sure you don't get caught out in future.

The Skyscanner website/app is brilliant for checking the best flight combinations.

I have travelled twice in mid June and managed to get €200-220 return flights from Cork both times which is excellent for the time of year so if it's anything around that price, i wouldn't wait around, I'd just book it.

    Enjoy!
