I just got a Asus R9 270X, popped it in, both lights on the card for the power are both green, but nothing is showing on screen. Its a AMD APU I have in there already. Any ideas where I could start, to work this out?

Got all the power cables plugged into the card itself? Also, in the BIOS settings, is it set to "the onboard only"?

Why cant you use the motherboard hdmi and use the apu graphics to install the new drivers? Dont connect to the hdmi port on the card use the one you were initially using(motherboard)

Do you have a source button on you're screen? Like some samsung monitors do etc.

As above, check the bios. Need to force it to PCIE display.

Once you install the drivers you then need to connect to the hdmi port on the card if its set as your primary adapter

If not you should definitely try the bios

cant really see anything about it in bios.

    What motherboard do you have?

It could be under a section named Northbridge, should be able to set "Graphics Adapter" or something similar to PCI

I just tried it again and its working now. But it doesnt display anything untill it gets to the windows login screen. Then the desktop doesnt fill the fill screen. Its set to 1920x1080 and windows wont let it go any higher. Any ideas? Thanks for the help so far!

Its 15% underscaled at the moment. A lot of AMD cards do it. There's a setting in Catalyst to fix it. Drag the slider back to 0%.

Did you manage to find the setting in the bios to set PCI as the primary graphics adapter?
