    Hi

Could anyone point me towards a shop in dublin selling bedroom furniture I am looking for a bedside locker and a small dressing table

Went into EZliving Blanchardstown today but They wanted 50Euro to deliver and its 75Euro if you live in Trim

Now I was in Harvey Norman last month and we were buying a unit for living room it was priced at 599 we asked was that the best and the knocked off 50 and waived the delivery great service but Ezliving no move on delivery charge so they lost sale

I know it costs to deliver but I really feel the retailers are starting to impose charges above what is justified and they wonder why people are buying online

Anyway rant over if anyone knows a good shop please post name and I will gladly give them business

It's just a different sales strategy. Harvey Normans are well known for haggling. Their big ticket items are overpriced with delivery factored in, so when a customer comes in an talks the price down and get their free delivery they walk away feeling like they got a good bargain, and they are likely to return. This strategy has evidently worked with you, as it has with many others.

Ez Living must not have factored that into their set prices, and so cannot afford to give a discount without severely compromising their profits or even making a loss. At the end of the day these businesses need to make a profit, otherwise they close down. Deliveries aren't cheap, with fuel, delivery man wages, maintenance cost etc. Harvey Norman's and ez living might not be getting their goods for the same price wholesale. Being in the market for furniture myself, I've the impression that the quality in Ez Living is higher. Quality always comes at a cost

EZ Living offers free delivery on some items if you order online. Check if there's a badge on your product's page.

I like quite a lot of Ikea furniture (but not for service obviously!).
Clean lines, decent price, and often suprisingly well made/sturdy.
