Emobile unlimited calls,texts 5GB Data €24 pm

    Not sure how good this deal is but it seems pretty good to me.
    My emobile contract expires tomorrow so i rang emobile today to see what the craic was.
    Apparently this offer is only for eircom broadband/efibre customers and it means an 18 month contract extension on your landline.
    Since my area is due for efibre in April i had planned to stay with eircom anyways.

    For €24 i get
    unlimited text to any network
    unlimited minutes to any network
    free unlimited landline calls in Ireland
    5GB Data

    Best of all its a rolling 30 days contract so i can change if im not happy.

    Im keeping my existing phone HTC One which is unlocked to any network so this is purely for the texts,minutes and Data no phone included.

    I bargained with them further informing them i had planned to move to Vodafone as my wife is with them at a reduced rate for nurses and could get me onto it hence why i called them today.
    The guy on the phone knocked off €10 for the first 3 months.

    Overall it seems a sweet deal to me,i always found the emobile network to be rock solid.

    I admit i havent shopped round an awful lot so please correct me if this is not such a good deal is im thinking.
    Otherwise give them a call if your with eircom for landline,broadband or efibre etc.

    They overcharged me for 43 euro in the first month that I joined, 2 months afterwards, overcharged me 15 euro but refuse to adjust to a correct direct debit nor put money back into my bank account. Filed complaint, went to the shop, still no one is willing to handle the situation, their company just want to charge you whatever amount and I really hate to keep an eye constantly in my statement to see if they overcharge, worst provider ever!

    24 for first 6 months, then €39/month

    unless you go 30-day SIM only, then it stays at €24pm always.

    €39 would be a lot to be paying if it wasn't subsiding any phone. €24 is not bad at all. But for me there is better coverage on the O2 (48) network.

    What are 3G speeds like on 48? Better than eMobile? I'm on the 24 p/m with eMobile at the moment and find the internet speeds to be shocking even in Dublin city centre.

    Ask anyone who is on 48, TescoMobile or O2. Or order a free 48 sim and try it out for yourself.
