    Hi all

I'm looking into making a homemade DIY infinity sweep photoshoot box, for taking close up and macro shoots of products with for the purpose of uploading them onto e-commerce shops.

I'm planning on making one out of a cardbox box with craft tissue paper on the sides and top for the softbox effect and a long sweeping peice of white card along the back for the infinity sweet effect, similar to what's shown in this link

    http://strobist.blogspot.ie/2006/07/how-to-diy-10-macro-photo-studio.html

The hard part is the lighting.

Would anyone have an idea how many bulbs I'd need to use?
What lumen output and what colour would be best?

I was thinking of using 3 daylight white desk lamps with enough lumens output to preferably not have to post process the photos to make them look good.

I'd be willing to spend up to €100 for the three lamps if thats' realistic. Like everything in life though, the less expensive the better.

    Does anyone have any suggestions??

I'd appreciate it greatly! Could save me a lot of time researching and money buying the wrong stuff!

There are loads of table top kits available on eBay and adverts for under €100 why mess about with card board and tissue when you can get a purpose built lightbox plus lights and stands for that amount of money?

As Rainbowsend says, there's loads of boxes/tents online for reasonable prices.

The good thing about these is that they distribute and diffuse the light fairly well so window light/lamps or 1 or 2 flashes will do a fine job.

A quick look through adverts.ie throws this Dublin based one up amongst others.. (And comes with 4 different backgrounds)

Lighting can be trial and error but I wouldn't go spending loads on lights for these as you probably already have something at home that will suffice

P.S. 5500k lightbulbs should provide the ideal light for what you want.
