Single farm Payment

    Well lads, we recently got into farming at the home place and I was trying to get information on the single farm payment.
    Juat wondering how do i apply and what are the criteria that need to be met?

    The system is built on entitlements dating back an number of years.

    You are able to purchase entitlements, and they come in differing part values. I think the price is about 2x face value at the moment.

    Once you have entitlements you can apply for the payments.

    So a google for SFP entitlements and there are people trading them.

    Now the question is if it's worth your while purchasing them at this stage. I couldn't really speculate on that one.

    Ok cheers for the reply :) will look it up! I think we're eligible for the disadvantaged area scheme i heard the Department send out application forms of do we ring them up? Thanks
