Tax was out at the end of January but I never received a letter. Been getting them for years.

Anyone know what I should do?

Have you been taxing it online? There's an option when you tax it online to receive communications by e-mail if it becomes available. I haven't gotten a physical copy of a tax renewal for a while now, but I get a mail with my PIN.
Try logging on to motortax.ie and clicking the lost PIN button.

ye been taxing it online, always choose the post method. Unless this time I didn't... Haven't got an email though, an its not in spam

Sounds strange. Might be worth checking your details (e-mail address/mobile number) if you log in online via the lost PIN. You can still pop in to your local Motor Tax Office and do it there (shudder)!

presume you mean last pin, which I don't have...
"Local" motor tax office is miles away duet shutting the one in nut grove, which was a decent trek any way...

No you can go onto motortax.ie and request a new PIN which they will email out to you. You can then renew online.

Can you still get the months grace or is that gone?

Still there. The letter reads that you must renew on or before the end of [February] in my case. Well it would have if I had the letter.

Except your still not displaying a valid tax disc which is the offence

there never really was a months grace. You can pay up to the end of the month without having to pay arrears if that's what you mean, but it was always an offence not to display a current disc, even if you have it.
