Commercial insurance for older commercials?

    Hi guys,

Looking at getting my first commercial and naturally the older they are the cheaper. I've even gone as far back as 80s crew cabs in my search. My question is is there a cut off year where insurance companies will stop insuring me for commercial purposes? Naturally, assuming my crewcab or van passes its test. Dont want to buy it and be told its only eligible for vintage insurance or the usual malarkey.

BTW sorry if this is the wrong art of the forum

You'll start having problems if your opening a new policy with a jeep older than 20. Some even are fussy at 15

I was told older than 15 is a no go by most insurance companies for commercial insurance.

I drive a 17 year old Hiace day in and day out at work. No issues with insurance at all. Damn thing won't die.
