To start EDT lessons again or not?

Hi i completed 5 EDT lessons at the end of 2012 (last one november 2012) with only one or two practice sessions in between. I haven't been near a steering wheel since. Looking back, I was doing ok but i just seemed to lose the motivation to carry on and i felt the instructor was rushing me through them a bit, throwing me in the deep end really when i wasn't ready. This scared me off i suppose.

Anyway i renewed my permit and i'm looking to start back again and i'm wondering should i forget about my old logbook and start again from scratch (1st edt lesson) or should i try and continue on with a different instructor? Bear in mind i literally did about 8 hours of driving in the space of two months, and it was a long time ago.

Another thing, is it likely that i'll remember much of what i did learn? since i've done nothing in 14 months. It's not like riding a bike is it? :)

I wouldnt reccomend to start from scratch. if you have 5 lessons done already then you only "have" to do 7 more EDT ones. Which inturn means you can use the extra 5 you saved for practice tests and a pre_test etc. I would reccomend to do a lesson an hour before your actual driving test. You have 5 done so you shouldnt start again. If you need more lessons after you finish the 12 then get them :)

Don't start from scratch. Your logbook is down against your driver number and any new logbook lessons wouldn't be able to uploaded against your driver number.

Go to a different ADI. Explain your situation and past experience in regard to feeling rushed through.

If it were me I'd start you off somewhere quiet to recap/get a felling for your skill level and take it from there. You can do as many lessons as YOU feel comfortable doing before starting back at EDT 6.

    Good luck
