    Might be better asking over in farming forum. Also a lot will depend on type of bog, type of machine and amount you want cut and whether you're going to rent a bank.

    We used to get turf cut by the old chainsaw type machine but its mostly all hopper now.

    It's costing me €50 for a row 10 sods by 100 yrds on my own bank that's in east Galway with a hopper
    Sausage would be a lot cheaper but ruins bank and is illegal
