Incredible run, that last 700m is astounding. How is this possible on an indoor track?

It'll be interesting to see what she can do for the outdoors!

Stunning run by Dibaba, particularly off such an uneven pace. When you consider that the only people who have run faster than her OUTDOORS are Ma's Army, and the Communist Eastern Europeans it really hits home just how quick that is.

Seen as it hasn't been mentioned anywhere here, but as soon as a runner records an astonishing time it's all over the various message boards, I thought i'd mention that there was more than one great performance this week. Renaud Lavillenie jumped 6.08m. This now puts him number 2 on the all time list behind Bubka, and nobody but Bubka has jumped higher outdoors (though you could argue that indoors is a bit easier in the pole vault due to lack of wind). He cleared it pretty comfortably which suggests there's more to come. Completely deserving after the cruelty of European Indoors last year where he jumped 6.06m but the bar slipped off the rest and rested on the hook which resulted in the harshest foul even though the bar didn't actually fall to the ground.

Competing in Ukraine in two weeks and is looking to go better, would be fitting if he could better Bubka there as the meet was organised by the man himself
