I am in the process of ordering three 7" Android Tablets from a Chinese seller....

Pipo S1 PRO Tablet PC RK3188 Quad Core 1.6GHz 7 inch Screen 1GB RAM 8GB Dual Camera WIFI HDMI

one each for the wife, son and my niece.

    AliExpress Shop

    HongKong Geeks

I can have all three sent to me from one seller, an AliExpress Shop, for just over €200, which is €60 per item, including postage with either DHL (€25 postage Total €207) or Singapore Post (€19 postage Total €200). (rounded figures)

I would be responsible for the Duty and VAT payments.

Another seller, Hongkonggeek.com, undertakes to refund Duty Payments levied!!

The three items as above can be purchased from them for a total of €261, which is €87 per item, and Free Shipping.

I suppose I am seeking advice, as to which option is best, based on the above:

    1) Buy from the AliExpress Shop and go with DHL, for speed of delivery??

    2) Buy from the shop and use Singapore Post, slower delivery, not sure who delivers at this end??

    3) Buy from HKGeeks, pay more per item, (€27 per item) but have the duty/vat refund guarantee, if it can be trusted??

Thanks for that, so stuff sent via Singapore Post are handled by An Post here??

That sounds OK, as I don't like DHL at all, and I am in no particular hurry, they're not for me, I already got my Nexus 7!!!!

I tried to buy a pair of boots. From what my experience, all I can say is that if things go wrong and the seller wants to raise the price after you purchased, or decides to send you something else YOU WILL FIND YOURSELF OUTRAGEOUSLY ON YOUR OWN.
Customer service will only stall, opening a complaint is just as good as doing nothing and you are pretty much on your own. Of course I am aware that there are happy stories, as well as many stories of people still claiming refunds. I'm not risking it again.
