    hi,
i want to buy a laptop, tablet, something mobile anyway.

i'm starting to do a lot of presentations, and as a result, i need my own laptop or something mobile to allow me to use with tv/projectors.
i've a dell pc with windows 7 pro 64 bit, i've full office suite, i've also an apple ipad 2, and a new ipad mini with retina display. but i'm also a google fan, and as such use a HTC one android, (just to give you a full picture of how scattered i've now become!)

what way would you suggest i go, stay windows, go for a macbook???

my budget is €1-2,000, but i'll still need to buy some projector also, but that can be extra, if suggestions are reasonably futureproof.
    reliability is important also.

i know this is not as detailed as you might like, but as i, like a lot of people i'd imagine, have become so scattered with my IT, i'd really like some advice to help consolidate things a bit better.

i think this laptop/tablet will be totally for work, and will be kept that way.

any and all advice is very welcome,

    thanks,

    Ed

I'll tell you. Macs are great but the thing I found was you get shafted when you need to leave them in for repairs. Most places I went to wouldnt even touch it, the two places that did look at it couldnt fix it. I ended up having to go to apple in belfast. Now truth be told it was great service when I got there and they had it sorted in no time at all. I would very highly rate the friendliness and efficiency. But I had to take a full day off work and drive the whole way to belfast so in that sense its a huge pain. But next time around I'll probably just stick with windows since its so handy fixed if anything does go wrong.

ok, so i think i've settled on a windows OS, as i've office 2010 on my PC, for powerpoint etc.
i've heard staying with windows 7 pro 64 bit is a better way to go, as windows 8 is not great for business stuff, is that correct?
also, what make of laptop is good? i've been looking at toshiba satellite pro's and Lenovo's also. i've always had dell pc's and one laptop a while back, and no problems, but they're pricey, and the toshiba beats it hands down on price at least!

    any ideas on this?
