Radio code not holding

I have a Renault Trafic,I got the radio code and entered it as the battery was out for a while, the radio works fine but when I turn the ignition off the radio requests the radio code again, it's not remembering it.any help would be great.

At least the code is working for now.
I have come across 2 Renaults ( an 05 Trafic and a 98 Scenic ) which for some reason won't now accept the code that they always used . Double checked with the dealer - but still no good.
Have been told this is a problem with some Renaults -when (if) I get more info I will post back .
