I think filler will be more a solution than welding, it's unlikely you will be able to weld the steel on the sills as it will be too thin.

i cant visible see it. its underneath if you look up underneath the car so the guy at the nct centre said..

It not window sill , it's the sill where you'd jack the car up .

A proper exhaust fella might do this not fast fit .

The sill is the bit that runs underneath the doors.

Here's a bold tip. It's bold, so all the good people need to look away now. B&Q sell a repair patch sheet substance that sticks to everything and goes hard via u-v in light after you unwrap it. It is flexible and shapeable once unwrapped. It sticks to everything and can be painted. It also sets rock hard. Just saying like.

edit: underseal sticks to it like s to a bl...

    I recommend this. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Davids-Fastglas-UPol-GL-LA/dp/B002HMXSZ8
Then use p38 filler and underseal over that.

Not good enough but you could get away with , NCT want too see metal, they don't care if it's a rough patch over nasty weld, steel plate , once it's metal.
